On certain nights, especially nights around the new moon (when no moon is visible), you can experience the phenomenon of bioluminescence. When disturbed in the water, tiny plankton emit a mesmerizing blue-green glow, creating a spectacle that feels like something out of a fairy tale.

Bocas Dive Center offers two night dive options: our exclusive MAYDAY site located just off our dock, features a plane wreck, a shipwreck, and the ‘I love Bocas’ underwater sculpture. Or, if there’s 3 or more divers we offer a boat dive to one of the many sites in Bocas, usually to a shipwreck.

Please note, night dives are for certified divers only, and if you’ve never done a night dive before, you are required to watch the PADI night dive video before you start your dive.
